Job description:
Perform outdoor tasks involving physical labor at Stream Restoration or Erosion Control projects. May operate a variety of hand and power tools. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, install fencing, matting, or seeding, clean up the job site and remove waste materials. May assist other workers. This position requires you to travel and you may be away from home up to two weeks at a time. If out of town, housing is provided and per diem.
Essential Functions:
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in stream restoration, erosion control, and civil site work projects.
- Material handling and storage
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stay safely aware of your surroundings and navigate around large pieces of heavy equipment
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including rain and extreme heat
- Ability to travel and work away from home Monday- Friday if needed.
- 2+ years Pipelaying experience is preferred
- Ability to drive off road haul trucks is preferred
Pay:
- $18-23 per hour. Based on experience
